Thank you for trying the spasm anti-spam milter! This is a completely re-written, GPL-licensed version of a milter originally design for an ISP, in order to give flexible and configurable spam filtering to its users and hosted domains. spasm, as a rewrite, incorporates many things that were and/or are not coded into the original proprietary version (e.g., tagging-only, full virtual domain support), and was stripped of others (e.g., LDAP support) in order to facilitate a redesign. Although spasm is still in its infancy, I am confident that it will mature quickly into a viable tool for server-side spam filtering, and that new filters added to its code will continue making it one of the most aggressive spam-fighting tools available. If you have any problems, please let me know. Any bugs discovered should be reported to aradia@theasylum.org, preferably along with any information you might have (ie, the tail end of spasm's log with DEBUGGING turned on, a stack trace, et cetera), or a patch if you're so inclined. This program is completely free to use and mangle, free as in beer and free as in speech, under the GPL license found in the COPYING file in this distribution. This is my own small contribution to the free software community. If anyone's conscience forces sleepless nights upon them, feel free to send a donation. Any businesses/ISPs which use this software are particularly encouraged to give a donation, but as I've already said, this software is free (as in beer) of charge to use. If anyone locally would like to make a donation, good bourbon and single malt scotches won't be refused. ;) Sean Hanson aradia@theasylum.org
